GNANA is a non-profitable Trust initiated by like-minded people hailing from various backgrounds. Its primary aim is to develop awareness towards community, education, ecology and culture, initially focusing on rural education.
Present Activities:
Gnana is focusing on setting up and improving library facilities in rural government schools. A survey conducted by our volunteers revealed that the government schools lacked basic library resources such as books and storage cupboards. Gnana has started working with rural government schools in Kolar, Mandya and Chamaraj Nagar Districts.
Gnana has now started donating books on various non-academic and socially relevant
subjects like environment, nature and culture to the schools. Gnana is also
co ordinating orientation programs in the schools to bring about an awareness
regarding the importance of reading habits, ecology and culture by interactive
lectures and demonstrations by various experts in the field.
